US imposes new sanctions on the International Criminal Court
The Treasury says the measure freezes the court’s funds held in international banks.

President Donald Trump’s administration has imposed fresh sanctions on the International Criminal Court, accusing it of acting against US interests.
Washington, which has long voiced objections to how the court works, had already approved sanctions on its staff, reports say.
The US Treasury says the new measure freezes the court’s funds held in international banks.
A number of states that accuse the court of focusing only on selected leaders have been withdrawing their membership. The court, founded in July 2002, does not include the United States or Russia among its members.
