Sudan's attorney general rejected the UAE's hosting of the UN crime congress

Sudan Tribune reported that Sudan's Attorney General Intisar Abdel-Aal said on 26 September that the UAE should not host the 15th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, accusing Abu Dhabi of supplying weapons to the RSF. The UAE has denied the accusation.
Sudan Tribune reported that Sudan's Attorney General Intisar Abdel-Aal told the 15th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, in a recorded speech on 26 September, that Sudan rejects the United Arab Emirates as host of the congress on legal and moral grounds.
She accused Abu Dhabi of supplying weapons to the Rapid Support Forces and of prolonging the war that began in April 2023.
"Sudan does not raise this issue as a political dispute, but rather as a matter directly related to the principles of international criminal justice," she said. The UAE has denied the accusation.
UN News said the congress, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, adopted the Abu Dhabi Declaration on tackling crime in the digital age.
