Al Jazeera reports that young men are leaving Tigray for Addis Ababa, or moving within the region, for fear of forced conscription. Human Rights Watch has documented forced recruitment since at least April, including of minors as young as 15, taken from streets, homes, workplaces and gold-mining areas. The TPLF denies the allegations and says young people are joining voluntarily.
