The Eritrean Ministry of Information (Shabait) reported that Eritrea took part in the 195th UCI Congress in Montreal on 23 September. Federation President Temesgen Redae, Secretary General Misgina Haile and coach Samson Solomon reported on youth training and on competitions under way.

The Eritrean Ministry of Information (Shabait) reported that Eritrea took part in the 195th UCI Congress, held in Montreal, Canada, on 23 September. The country was represented by Temesgen Redae, President of the National Cycling Federation, Secretary General Misgina Haile and national team coach Samson Solomon. The delegation reported on youth training programmes in Eritrea and their results, on competitions under way and on the country's standing in African and international racing, and set out efforts to secure advanced training for young riders at the UCI Training Centre. Shabait said the Congress commended Eritrea's work in developing cycling and its participation in UCI activities. Coach Samson Solomon also attended a UCI road cycling technical meeting.
