Turkey, Qatar, Pakistan and Indonesia sign Badr pact
The agreement signed in Doha covers joint production of military equipment and technology transfer.

Turkey, Qatar, Pakistan and Indonesia signed an agreement known as the Badr pact in Doha on 21 October, aimed at joint production of military equipment, technology transfer and expanded research and development.
The agreement is intended to integrate the industrial capacity of the four partner countries and to strengthen the supply chain for military equipment.
Reports confirm the pact includes a mechanism allowing other countries to join.
Because it is confined to cooperation within the defence industry, analysts say the agreement does not create a mutual defence obligation if a signatory is attacked. It follows the Mecca defence agreement signed in August between Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
