Ethiopian federal forces enter Adwa without resistance, residents say; Adwa Hospital and government offices looted overnight
Residents told AFP that federal troops and the allied Tigray Peace Force entered the central Tigray town on Sunday 11 October, a day after TPLF-aligned fighters withdrew.

Reuters, cited by Kulu Media, said three residents reported that Ethiopian federal troops and allied Tigray Peace Force fighters entered Adigrat, about 30km from the Eritrean border, on Saturday morning. Reuters could not establish whether federal forces held full control of the town. ACLED said Eritrean forces withdrew from positions near Adigrat overnight on 7-8 October under Ethiopian drone strikes. Eritrea denies deploying troops into Ethiopian territory.
Kulu Media said the conflict monitor ACLED recorded ENDF and Tigray Peace Force units as having taken control of Adwa in Central Tigray zone. It said residents reported TPLF-aligned fighters withdrew on Saturday 10 October and that forces entered on Sunday. Kulu Media said it could not independently verify the reports of looting.
Al Jazeera, citing AFP, said residents of Adwa reported that federal forces and an allied militia entered the town on Sunday without a fight. A resident named Aferwerki said government institutions including Adwa Hospital were looted overnight. TPLF Vice President Amanuel Assefa did not comment.
