Ethiopian forces take Rama, ACLED says
After Axum, the town of Rama — just 7 km from the Eritrean border — has come under their control.

Ethiopian forces are widening their control across Tigray and, after taking the historic city of Axum, have also seized the town of Rama, the conflict monitor ACLED has said.
Rama is the seat of Mereb Lehe woreda in Tigray’s Central Zone and lies only 7 km from the Eritrean border. It is 25 km from Adi Quala, 30 km from Adwa and 33 km from Axum.
ACLED reported that, after government forces and their allies advanced into several strategically important towns, Eritrean troops withdrew back across the border through Zalambessa.
Fighting continues in the northern part of the country, according to reports. A resident of Zalambessa told AFP that while there is no fighting in the town now, it has been without electricity and water for a week.
