ACLED says Eritrean forces crossed the border at Zelambesa and that Ethiopian drones struck them at Guada
ACLED's East Africa expert says the troops were hit by ENDF drones while moving by vehicle toward Idaga Hamus. No casualty figures were given and the reports could not be independently verified.

ACLED said Eritrean forces crossed the border at Zelambesa on 7 October and moved along the Adigrat-Idaga Hamus route, and that Ethiopian National Defense Force drones targeted them at Guada while they were travelling by vehicle. No casualty figures were given.
The Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED) said that on 7 October Eritrean forces crossed the border at Zelambesa and moved along the Adigrat-Idaga Hamus route, and that Ethiopian National Defense Force drones targeted the Eritrean troops at Guada while they were travelling by vehicle.
ACLED's East Africa regional expert, Dr Jalale Getachew Birru, said Eritrean forces had entered the war in Tigray to stop Ethiopian government and allied forces from reaching the border, and that Tigray Defence Forces are heavily present in Atsbi and Kilte Awlaelo woredas. ACLED gave no casualty figures.
Separately, Gebreigziabher Beyene, a commander of the pro-government Tigray Peace Force, told Reuters the Eritrean army had entered Tigray in uniform and with heavy weapons and was being struck by drones.
Neither the Ethiopian government nor the army has said anything about the strike at Guada. Eritrean Information Minister Yemane Gebremeskel has denied that Eritrean forces are in Tigray. The reports could not be independently verified.
