An army spokesperson said air defences intercepted a hostile FH-95 drone west of Tinna on Sunday morning, and Sudan Tribune reported that military aircraft struck at least three sites in Nyala after a long pause.

Sudan Tribune reported that an army spokesperson said air defences intercepted a hostile FH-95 drone west of Tinna in North Kordofan on Sunday morning, and that Sudanese warplanes resumed strikes on Nyala after a prolonged pause, hitting at least three sites in the city. No casualty figures were available.

An army spokesperson said air defences intercepted a hostile FH-95 drone on Sunday morning west of Tinna in North Kordofan, Sudan Tribune reported. The paper said Sudanese warplanes resumed operations over Nyala, the capital of South Darfur, after a prolonged pause, striking at least three sites in the central, southern and northern districts of the city. Residents described heavy explosions and columns of smoke over Nyala; no casualty figures were available at the time of reporting. Sudan Tribune said the army has intercepted about eight Chinese-made FH-95 drones over the past ten days — four in North Kordofan, three in Blue Nile and one near el-Fasher. The Rapid Support Forces did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The claims could not be independently verified.
