Eritrea's Ministry of Information published the full text of Foreign Minister Osman Saleh Mohammed's statement to the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Eritrea's Foreign Minister, Osman Saleh Mohammed, addressed the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York on 28 September. He said African peoples are "the prime victims of the 'zero-sum' global order whose hallmarks are plunder, domination and deceit", and called for an end to "debilitating interventions under the rubric of 'humanitarian assistance'". He also called for the termination of "the war and related acts of subversion unleashed in order to foment chaos in our broader neighborhood; i.e. the Nile Basin; the Horn of Africa; the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Gulf States". The statement, published by the Ministry of Information, named no country in the Horn. It also referred to "President Trump's pronounced MAGA Doctrine", the conflict in Iran and the war in Ukraine, and urged Africans to "formulate appropriate strategies" and "remove stale and obstructive frameworks".
