ACLED says fighters of the Tigray Defence Forces took control of Abiy Adi and Werqamba in Central Tigray on 14 October after federal forces withdrew from the areas the previous day. It says fighting between the Tigray Defence Forces and federal forces and the pro-government Tigray Peace Force continued around Abiy Adi and Chila on 15 October, with Ethiopian drone strikes supporting ground troops, and that on 16 October an Ethiopian drone struck a cattle ranch in the Dr. Atakilti area near Abiy Adi. Neither the federal government nor the TPLF has issued a public statement on the town, and the reports have not been independently verified.
