The 273.7km elite men's road race at the World Championships is under way in Montreal, with Eritrea represented by Biniam Girmay, Merhawi Kudus, Henok Mulubrhan and Amanuel Ghebreigzabhier according to the published start lists. Cyclingnews reported that repeated attacks on the Montreal circuits were thinning the peloton.

Eritrea is taking part in the elite men's road race at the UCI Road World Championships in Montreal, Canada, on Sunday 27 September. Published start lists name Biniam Girmay, Merhawi Kudus, Henok Mulubrhan and Amanuel Ghebreigzabhier in the Eritrean line-up. The race is 273.7km long and closes the championships, which began on 20 September. Cyclingnews reported while the race was under way that repeated attacks on the Montreal circuits were thinning out the peloton.
