Fano says it captured army vehicles and weapons in Amhara

Al Jazeera reported on 26 September that Fano fighters in the Amhara region claim to have seized more than 10 military trucks carrying ammunition, machine guns and mortar shells. The claim has not been independently verified and the Ethiopian army and government have not responded. Al Jazeera said fighting has intensified since the formation of a new alliance of seven armed groups seeking to overthrow Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's government.
