The charity also said more than 300 wounded had reached Suhul hospital in Shire by 25 September, and that its work in Alamata has been suspended.

In an update published on 28 September, Médecins Sans Frontières said war-wounded patients at the hospitals it supports in Korem and Alamata rose from about 180 to more than 420 between 22 and 25 September, and that more than 300 war-wounded had reached Suhul hospital in Shire by 25 September. It said its activities in Alamata were suspended and outreach work stopped for security reasons.

Médecins Sans Frontières said on 28 September that the number of war-wounded patients at the hospitals it supports in Korem and Alamata, in southern Tigray, rose from about 180 to more than 420 between 22 and 25 September. It said more than 300 war-wounded had reached Suhul hospital in Shire, in north-western Tigray, by 25 September. The organisation said its activities in Alamata had been suspended because of the situation there, and that outreach work had been stopped on security grounds, with staff redirected to supporting hospitals in Shire, Sheraro and Korem. MSF said it remained concerned for the safety of civilians and their access to health care during the increased fighting.
