Houthis say they struck Abha airport after losing ground at Bab el-Mandeb
Yemeni government forces advanced around the strait and took the port city of Mocha.

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation said attacks targeted King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan and Najran International Airport on the evening of Monday 5 October, causing three minor injuries and property damage, and that those hurt were treated in hospital. It said it was working with the relevant authorities to assess the damage and verify the safety of the facilities. The statement, carried by the Saudi Press Agency, made no reference to Abha airport.
The Houthi group said it carried out a ballistic missile attack on Tuesday 6 October against Abha international airport in south-western Saudi Arabia.
The group military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said the missile hit the airport directly and disrupted air traffic, and warned international airlines against flying through Saudi airspace.
The claim follows a strong advance on Monday by Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces around the Bab el-Mandeb strait, which brought them to the edge of the city of Mocha. The Yemeni defence ministry said the port city is now under its control.
There has so far been no direct statement from Saudi Arabia about the reported attack.
