Sudanese doctors say RSF looted and wrecked hospital in recaptured Sodari

The Sudanese Doctors Network says Sodari Rural Hospital, which served more than 50,000 families, was stripped of its equipment.

The Sudanese Doctors Network said Sodari Rural Hospital in North Kordofan was attacked and systematically looted of its infrastructure and medical equipment by the RSF, leaving it in ruins. The hospital served more than 50,000 families before the war. The Sudanese army recaptured Sodari on 25 September. Sudan Tribune said an RSF spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

The Sudanese Doctors Network said in a statement that Sodari Rural Hospital in North Kordofan was attacked and systematically looted of its infrastructure and medical equipment by the Rapid Support Forces, leaving it in ruins and depriving civilians of basic medical care. The network said the hospital served more than 50,000 families before the war. The Sudanese army and allied forces recaptured Sodari on 25 September after heavy fighting. Sudan Tribune said an RSF spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
