UCI fines Girmay, Mulubrhan and Eritrea's sports director over team kit at the Worlds

Each of the two riders was fined 500 Swiss francs and the sports director 1,000, for riders wearing different clothing from the rest of the team.

The commissaires at the World Championships in Montreal fined Biniam Girmay and Henok Mulubrhan 500 Swiss francs each for wearing different clothing from the other riders in their team, and fined Eritrea's sports director Samson Ghebregyesus 1,000 Swiss francs over the same infringement.

The commissaires at the UCI Road World Championships in Montreal fined two Eritrean riders and the team's sports director over their clothing. Biniam Girmay and Henok Mulubrhan were each fined 500 Swiss francs for wearing different clothing from the other riders in their team, and Eritrea's sports director Samson Ghebregyesus was fined 1,000 Swiss francs over the same infringement. The elite men's road race was held in Montreal on Sunday 27 September and was won by Brandon McNulty of the United States. The commissaires' decisions were reported by the cycling outlets Velo, Domestique Cycling and Cycling Uptodate.
