Drone strike in Sudan kills 41 people
Most of the victims were women and children; the UN has condemned the attack.

At least 41 people were killed and dozens wounded in a heavy drone strike on a camp for displaced people at Abu Shandi, in Sudan’s Blue Nile state near the Ethiopian border.
Because the strike hit families who had fled the war and were sheltering there, most of the victims were women and children.
The rights group Emergency Lawyers says the attack was carried out by the Rapid Support Forces, which are fighting the Sudanese army. The RSF has not responded publicly.
The UN humanitarian office condemned the attack, and UNICEF said five of the dead were children under the age of ten.
