Iran says the US has accepted some of its demands
Iranian security officials say the move is still not enough to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has said the United States has accepted some of the demands it set out for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian security officials said, however, that while the step opens diplomatic space, it is not sufficient to reopen the waterway.
Iran has put forward seven conditions for reopening the strait: that sanctions against it be lifted, that American and Israeli military operations in the Middle East cease, that measures blocking shipping to and from its ports be removed, and that its frozen funds be released.
No detail has yet emerged on which of the demands Washington has accepted. Reports say the fundamental differences between Tehran and Washington continue to obstruct the peace talks.
