Iran offers to mediate between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis
Spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Tehran is ready to create the ground for dialogue.

Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei has repeated that Tehran is ready to help bring Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthi movement to the table for talks.
At his weekly press briefing, Baghaei expressed deep concern at the conflict under way in the Arabian Peninsula and said Iran does not accept the continuation of bloody fighting between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis.
The remarks came a day after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told his Saudi counterpart by telephone that his country was ready to prepare the ground for dialogue.
The appeal comes at a moment of intense military activity between the two sides.
