Bangladesh says its nuclear deal with Russia starts work in November
The project is worth about $13bn, with most of the cost covered by a Russian loan.

Bangladesh says the agreement it signed with Russia to build a nuclear plant for peaceful purposes will begin to be implemented from November.
Russia and Bangladesh signed the roughly $13bn project in April this year. Most of the cost is to be covered by a loan from Russia.
Moscow is also to provide additional support, including materials and surveying work.
Once complete, Bangladesh’s first nuclear plant is expected to cover about 12 per cent of the country’s electricity demand. The project is seen as a boost to relations between the two countries.
