Sisi says Saudi security is inseparable from Egypt’s
Warns that no violation of Saudi sovereignty in the Red Sea will be tolerated.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has described his country and Saudi Arabia as the heart of the Arab and Islamic world, warning that any attack or security threat against the kingdom or the Gulf region directly affects Egypt’s national security.
Sisi made the remarks on 15 October at a police academy graduation ceremony in New Cairo. He said Egypt’s position on Gulf security reflects not only diplomatic cooperation but shared strategic interests, according to Middle East Eye.
He described Saudi Arabia as a regional state of considerable influence and said security threats that put the kingdom at risk are unacceptable.
On the Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia and in the Red Sea, Sisi said Egypt was acting with great care and restraint while seeking a solution, but cautioned that no violation of Saudi sovereignty in the Red Sea, or threat to its security, would be permitted.
Turning to Sudan, he said his administration had worked for years to resolve the differences between the Sudanese armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces, and that Egyptian mediation had produced a temporary solution before the situation developed in a direction Cairo had hoped to avoid.
