A new consignment of children's vaccines has arrived in Eritrea through the continuing partnership between the government, the Gavi vaccine alliance and UNICEF, the UNICEF country office said.

The support is intended to sustain immunisation coverage at 95 per cent and to protect children across the country against vaccine-preventable diseases that put their lives at risk.

The delivery accompanies the national immunisation campaign run by the Ministry of Health.
