Tigrayan Americans write open letter to Marco Rubio
They warn against a second round of mass killing in Tigray.

Representatives of the Tigrayan American community have sent an urgent open letter to the US secretary of state, Marco Rubio.
The letter sets out their serious concern over Rubio’s official contact with Ethiopia’s prime minister, Abiy Ahmed, on 14 October.
Stating that Tigray is neither secessionist nor terrorist, they argue that the drone attacks on the people of Tigray and the breaches of the Pretoria agreement deserve equal attention.
They also ask for an investigation into reports that Ethiopian Airlines is being used for military purposes, including the use of American-built Boeing aircraft.
The petition, they say, is not directed against the peoples of Ethiopia or Eritrea but aims at justice, accountability and lasting peace, and they are awaiting a face-to-face meeting with the secretary of state.
