EEPA said in its situation report of 1 October, citing MSF, that 300 war-wounded had been admitted to Suhul hospital in Shire.

In the same statement, Médecins Sans Frontières said activities at Alamata Hospital had been suspended because of the security situation and outreach work halted, with staff redirected to other hospitals. MSF said Suhul Hospital in Shire, north-western Tigray, had received more than 300 war-wounded by 25 September.

MSF said more than 700 wounded people had been admitted over the last few days to hospitals it supports in Tigray. The charity had earlier put the number of war-wounded at its Korem and Alamata hospitals at more than 420.

MSF figures put the total number of war-wounded reaching hospitals in Tigray at more than 720: over 420 at its Korem and Alamata hospitals and over 300 at Suhul hospital in Shire by 25 September.

ACLED records that MSF treated more than 420 war-wounded patients in the Southern Tigray zone and more than 300 in the North-Western Tigray zone between 22 and 25 September — over 700 across the two zones.

ACLED said in an update on Tuesday that MSF recorded more than 700 war-wounded people across the Southern and North-Western zones of Tigray between 22 and 25 September.

In an update published on 28 September, Médecins Sans Frontières said war-wounded patients at the hospitals it supports in Korem and Alamata rose from about 180 to more than 420 between 22 and 25 September, and that more than 300 war-wounded had reached Suhul hospital in Shire by 25 September. It said its activities in Alamata were suspended and outreach work stopped for security reasons.
