Eritrea Ministry of Information reports that World Pharmacists Day was observed at national level at Orotta Hospital Hall in Asmara on 25 September, the 17th international observance of the day. Heaven Yohannes, president of the Eritrean Pharmacists Association, said the occasion is an opportunity for pharmacists to highlight their role in healthcare, exchange professional experience and strengthen their contribution to health services. She announced that National Pharmacy Week will run from 28 September to 4 October, with activities focused on awareness of the use of cosmetics. The programme included presentations on self-reliance in medicines during the armed struggle, the role of pharmacy in health service delivery and figures who left their mark on the profession, followed by a panel discussion.
