The surrender took place at Memen in the Enticho zone of northern Tigray.

Five senior commanders of the Tigray force aligned with the TPLF have surrendered to the Tigray Peace Force at a place called Memen in the Enticho zone of northern Tigray.
A number of junior officers surrendered alongside them, according to the statement.
The officers named are Colonel Berhe Gebremedhin, deputy army commander; Colonel Woldai Mawcha, head of army logistics; Colonel Gebremariam Teklu, commander of Corps 2; Colonel Mehari Yifter, commissar of Corps 2; and Colonel Gebrehawaria Desta, head of logistics for Corps 2.
The surrender follows a military operation conducted since late September by the national defence force and allied TPF units. Federal forces have recently taken the towns of Shire, Adi Gorat, Edaga Hamus, Atsbi and Freweyni, with TPLF-aligned fighters withdrawing from those areas.
