More than 5,000 delegates from over 50 countries attended.

Eritrea took part in a trade and investment summit in Nairobi, Kenya, held under the theme of leading a new era of trade in Africa.

More than 5,000 delegates attended, among them producers, suppliers, investors and representatives of commercial bodies from over 50 countries.

The main themes of the summit were trade, investment, innovation, leadership and connectivity.

Sessions also covered security, maritime sovereignty and peace, commercial activity centred on the participation of women and young people, and industrial sovereignty.

Delegates discussed the need to work together to expand trade between countries and to secure peace across the continent.
