Drone strikes in Ethiopia raise legal questions
Attacks on schools, hospitals and civilians are raising serious questions of legality and ethics, reports say.

Escalating conflict, mass killings and human rights violations across several parts of Ethiopia are raising grave questions of legality and ethics, according to reports.
Such attacks have reportedly been carried out repeatedly in areas including Arsi, Wollega and Borena, with children, women, the elderly and monks among the victims.
Among the most disturbing incidents cited is a drone strike on primary school pupils in Andabet district, South Gondar, on 10 October. Footage circulating on social media caused widespread public shock.
Reports note that drone attacks on schools, hospitals and infrastructure in the Amhara region have continued for three years, and criticise the country’s education ministry for issuing no statement on the matter.
