Among the returnees are 1,139 men, 261 women and 47 children.

A total of 1,447 Ethiopians who had been stranded in difficult circumstances in Saudi Arabia have returned home.

The group includes 1,139 men, 261 women and 47 children, 47 of whom are under the age of 18.

The Ministry of Women and Social Affairs said the returnees are being given assistance at the airport and at reception centres while work continues to reunite them with their families.
