As tension rises in Tigray, particularly in the central zone of the region, local reports describe heavy fighting around Semema and Debre Damo on 21 October.

With federal defence forces massed in central Tigray, Tigray forces were reportedly converging on these strategic positions from several directions.

In recent days, sustained artillery fire and direct frontline fighting have been reported around Wukro Maray and Selekhlekha, as well as near Mirena and in the Zana zones.

Reports say growing artillery and drone attacks near Tahtay Maychew Dinbaza, Tsesha and Milaka have created serious danger for residents.
