SADC envoy calls for African-led solutions to African challenges
The 12th Tana Forum will be held in Bahir Dar from 23 to 25 October.

The permanent representative of the Southern African Development Community to the African Union, Ambassador Jevin Pillay Ponisami, said the Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa is a decisive platform for producing work that can be put into practice.
The 12th Tana Forum is due to take place in Bahir Dar from 23 to 25 October.
It is being prepared under the theme of pathways to peace in Africa, economic sovereignty and geopolitical change.
Ambassador Ponisami described the forum as a significant space for experienced leaders and specialists to exchange views and develop African-led responses.
The appeal comes as new strategic alignments harden in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea, and as security tensions in Tigray and Amhara put regional stability in question.
