President Isaias Afwerki returns to Asmara from Egypt
He arrived home on Tuesday afternoon with the senior delegation after a three-day working visit.

President Isaias Afwerki has concluded the working visit to Egypt he made at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and arrived in Asmara on the afternoon of Tuesday 6 October, Information Minister Yemane Gebremeskel said.
The visit began on Saturday 3 October with talks in New Alamein with President el-Sisi covering bilateral relations between Eritrea and Egypt and regional and international developments.
On Sunday 4 October he took part in the joint summit with the leaders of Egypt, Sudan and Somalia. He also met President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia for the first time in two years, and held talks with General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan.
A senior delegation made up of Hagos Gebrehiwet, head of economic affairs, and Nesredin Mohammed Saleh, minister of trade and industry, attended the El Alamein business forum and reached agreements with the African Export-Import Bank before flying home with the president.
