Abiy Ahmed attends Kenya’s Mashujaa Day

The Ethiopian prime minister was guest of honour at the national celebration in Eldoret.

Ethiopia’s prime minister, Abiy Ahmed, has travelled to Kenya to take part in the national heroes’ day celebration.

Mashujaa Day honours those who made a major contribution to Kenya’s independence, sovereignty and development.

The prime minister attended the ceremony in Eldoret as guest of honour, according to information from his office.

The visit comes as tension between Ethiopia and Eritrea continues to deepen.
