Dawan Africa said the Tigray Peace Force issued a statement on Saturday, attributed to its Central Command in Mekelle, urging TPLF fighters still in the conflict to lay down their weapons and surrender. It said the statement promised that those who surrender voluntarily would be treated with dignity and "will not face retaliation", and offered personal safety and legal protection, conditional amnesty, help reuniting with families, and food, water, shelter and medical care. It said professional soldiers who meet the required criteria could be considered for positions in what the statement calls legitimate peace and security institutions. Dawan said the statement named no individual spokesperson, gave little detail on who would oversee disarmament and reintegration, and that it had no TPLF response.

The Ethiopian News Agency said the National Rehabilitation Commission has named nine reception points across Tigray. Deputy Commissioner Brigadier General Derbie Mekuriaw said the government, the Ethiopian National Defence Force and the commission are ready to receive combatants, and called it a final opportunity for TPLF leaders, commanders and combatants. Natna News found no response from the TPLF.
