የጋራ መግለጫው የወጣው የሁለቱ ተቋማት የሰላምና ደኅንነት የጋራ ግብረ ኃይል መስከረም 26 ቀን በኒው ዮርክ ከተገናኘ በኋላ ነው።

The two bodies said they were concerned by recent security incidents and heightened tensions in northern Ethiopia.

መግለጫው እንዳሰፈረው፣ ሁለቱ ድርጅቶች "በወገኖቹ መካከል ቀጥታ ንግግርና ውይይት እንዲቀጥል እንዲሁም የቋሚ ግጭት ማቆም ስምምነቱ እንዲተገበር የአፍሪካ ኅብረት የአፍሪካ ቀንድ ከፍተኛ ተወካይ የቀድሞው ፕሬዚዳንት ኦባሳንጆ ለሚያደርጉት የታደሰ ጥረት ያላቸውን ጽኑ ድጋፍ ደግመው አረጋግጠዋል"።
በስብሰባው የአፍሪካ ኅብረት የፖለቲካ ጉዳዮች፣ ሰላምና ደኅንነት ኮሚሽነር አምባሳደር ባንኮሌ አዴዮዬ፣ እንዲሁም የተመድ ምክትል ዋና ጸሐፊዎች ሮዝመሪ ዲካርሎ፣ ዦን-ፒየር ላክሩዋና አቱል ካሬ ተገኝተዋል። መግለጫው ትግራይን በስም አልጠቀሰም።
